Scriptwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have spilled the beans in a recent interview given to Sci-Fi wire:<br /><br /><center><div style="width: 425px;" align="left">"We've written two drafts of Venom, and the studio has it, and they're pushing forward in whatever ways they push forward."<div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Scriptwriter Paul Wernick</span></div></div></center><br /><br />No word about the story would be linked to Spiderman 3 or <a href="http://teaser-trailer.com/movie/spiderman-4">Spiderman 4</a>..<br /><br />I am glad that Hollywood is showing some interest for the supervillains! But according to the rumor, the Venom movie would kind of tame down the character's evilness to transform him into an anti-hero who becomes a defender of the innocent... That's blasphemy to my viewpoint, but I guess it would make the spin-off Venom movie more palatable to a larger public.
